Fearghal has extensive experience both in venture capital and in industry, having spent more than fifteen years involved with technology startups and large technology companies in Europe and North America. Fearghal’s recent investments at SEP include enterprise software vendor Tideway and power semi-conductor company Powervation. He also sits on the board of digital radio technology company Radioscape. Prior investments Fearghal led at his previous firm include data storage software vendor Diligent Technologies, recently acquired by IBM.
Before joining SEP, Fearghal spent five years at Accel Partners where he was a founding principal of Accel in Europe and a partner of the European firm. Before entering venture capital he spent many years at Ericsson where he was responsible for the development of software and hardware systems on a range of wireless platforms for various international markets. Earlier in his career he spent several years in the energy sector, primarily working on the development of large scale energy production facilities, and also worked with the investment banking practice at Goldman Sachs in London.
Fearghal received an M.Eng.Sc in Telecommunications and a BE in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Ireland and holds an MBA with distinction from INSEAD. |
