Investment Process & Criteria
SEP focuses on technology investments in the UK.

We invest across a range of technologies in the information technology, healthcare & life sciences and energy related sectors. However, while we have three specialist industry investment groups, our investment approach is based on the company's competitive advantage and the calibre of the management team rather than a precise fit with a predetermined sectoral profile.

There are 10 straightforward steps to our investment process:

  1. Business plan review
  2. Initial decision on suitability for SEP investment
  3. Internal discussion on key issues
  4. Presentation from management team and subsequent discussions
  5. Initial due diligence
  6. Term sheet
  7. Discussion with company on terms
  8. Detailed due diligence
  9. Formal SEP approval for investment
  10. Completion
